Job Description
The University of Evansville Office of Student Financial Services (SFS) has two openings for Financial Aid Counselor positions.

If you hold a bachelor’s degree and bring at least 3 years of customer service experience (preferably in financial aid), we want to hear from you!
As a Financial Aid Counselor, you’ll help guide students and their families, helping them navigate the often-complex world of billing and financial aid. Your exceptional customer service skills will be utilized as you engage directly with our diverse campus community, ensuring that every interaction is positive and supportive.
In this role, you’ll balance independent work with collaborative efforts, demonstrating strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Your keen attention to detail and organizational skills will be crucial as you manage multiple responsibilities, all while adhering to university policies and federal and state regulations.
Your day-to-day will involve navigating various federal, state, and internal platforms, utilizing Office Suite, and maintaining a calm and reassuring demeanor—especially when assisting families through the financial aid process.

Position 1: Primary responsibilities include:
- Provide information to prospective and current students and their families in person and online regarding financial aid eligibility and renewal requirements
- Manage institutional endowed scholarships which includes annual reconciliation
- Co-manage State Grant funding
- Process receipt of Free Application of Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Review and monitor aid eligibility/renewal of institutional scholarship programs
- Other duties as assigned
Position 2: Primary responsibilities include:
- Provide information to prospective and current students and their families in person and online regarding financial aid eligibility and renewal requirements
- Co-manage Athletic financial aid administration
- Co-manage Federal Work-Study Program
- Co-manage State Grant funding
- Process receipt of Free Application of Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Review and monitor aid eligibility/renewal of institutional scholarship programs
- Other duties as assigned
