Summary of Position

Plymouth State University invites applications for a Reference and Instruction librarian that will support Lamson Library & Learning Commons. This position will oversee the provision of reference and information literacy instruction services at PSU including, leading instruction sessions and workshops, development of new info lit programming, reference desk services and scheduling, and hiring, training and supervising student research consultants. We are seeking an energetic and innovative librarian to join our Learning Commons and support the research endeavors of our community. This is a 1-year, renewable position that, by virtue of the Professor of Practice collective bargaining agreement, has pathways to promotion and an extended multi-year contract in the future

Acceptable Minimum Qualifications

MLS or equivalent

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Teaching and/or instructional design experience
  • Experience working in a library and/or higher education environment
