The Opportunity:

As a Program Office Representative, you'll bring your naval surface warfare and strategy expertise to work on fleet introduction of new acquisition projects for the Department of the Navy. You will support development of concepts of operation and policy updates associated with the delivery of new systems to the fleet. You'll research and assess the naval environment and apply that expertise to support the delivery of naval mine warfare capabilities into the U.S. Surface Navy with a focus on readiness for Sailors to properly operate and maintain the systems. You'll be a trusted advisor to our clients, and we'll look to you to identify, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, policies, and processes to ensure the client is best positioned for readiness in the mine warfare mission, among several mission areas. You will shape the vision for training future crews with various flag staffs and track those changes into the Type Commander and Fleet Commander policy. You will organize and prepare regular reports and briefings for Program Executive Office audiences.

You'll support our team in the work we do for the Navy, and the solutions we deliver for military missions. Your critical thinking is needed to deliver the best training capability for our fleet. Your creativity will assist in developing innovative solutions to readiness challenges.

This position is location in San Diego, CA and requires routine travel to conferences.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience with leadership as Surface Warfare Officer, in the Defense industry as a Government Civilian, or contractor, or a combination of the roles

  • Experience writing readiness assessments, material condition reports or discrepancy reports to identify unit deficiencies and recommending solutions for mission readiness

  • Experience in personnel or unit performance analysis, preparing and transmitting formal communication of readiness using standardized reporting formats, such as Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) communications material

  • Ability to interact with O-6 and senior military personnel at briefings, meetings, and conferences

  • Ability to support the Program Office client in a different time zone

  • Secret Clearance

  • Bachelor's Degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Surface Ship scheduling

  • Experience developing and briefing executive-level reports

  • Experience developing concepts of operation, or policy guidance

  • Experience using Department of Defense programs for readiness

  • Experience with U.S. Navy mine warfare planning, administering, or managing mine warfare systems

  • Knowledge of resolving challenges for U.S. Navy Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Logistics, Personnel, and Facilities (DOTMLPF) requirements

  • Knowledge of U.S. Navy acquisition processes

  • Knowledge of constraints for crews meeting readiness requirements

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
