We are looking for a Diversity, Equity, Inclusions and Belonging Specialist to join our clinics! The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Specialist is responsible for conducting DEIB training and coordinating CHC’s growing projects to create a culture of inclusion and belonging, as well as to codify and embed equity into the structure and systems of the organization. The success of this work requires participation from all levels of the organization including the Board of Directors, management and leadership teams, staff, our patients, and the community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Work closely with the Human Resources (HR) Department and Hiring Managers to develop training content relating to DEIB best practices in hiring, recruitment, retention strategies, benefit structures, and employee-centered bodies of work that foster belonging.
  • Lead DEIB charter content development and DEIB committee implementation.
  • Develop, oversee, and manage the DEIB committee and affinity group activities.
  • Schedule meetings with the management team and leadership to discuss data-driven action plans, share feedback, and collaborate on overcoming DEIB challenges in the workplace.
  • Organize and disseminate DEIB-centered communications across the organization which includes religious and cultural holidays, learning emails, and celebrations.
  • Maintain the DEIB intranet, internet webpage, and newsletter content.
  • Develop DEIB training curricula and lead reoccurring DEIB training across the organization. Facilitate small group listening sessions and culture learning opportunities.
  • Collaborate with organization trainers to identify methods to integrate DEIB into all training platforms. Provide consultation to clinical staff on DEIB concepts in healthcare including but not limited to trauma-informed care, anti-racism, implicit bias, and other DEIB best practices, etc.
  • Strategic Planning - lead the integration of DEIB principles into the organization's system-wide strategic plan and provide recommendations on how to embed and advance DEIB work across the organization.
  • Evaluation Tools– work closely with HR to analyze data from employee engagement events and activities, climate assessments, and alternative workplace culture evaluation tools to assess the value and effectiveness of DEIB training and initiatives.
  • Partner with the Compliance Department to reduce and eliminate identified health disparities amongst our patients and communities we serve.
  • Build robust partnerships with a myriad of DEIB consultants and local community-based organizations to ensure CHC remains abreast of best practices to ensure all employees are treated with dignity and respect, have a voice, and have equal access to opportunities to thrive in the workplace.
  • Conduct research and analysis on industry best practices and emerging trends in diversity, equity, and inclusion, and identify opportunities for improvement within the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Associates Degree in related field, plus 2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
