Under the supervision of the Administrative Supervisor and Front Desk Lead Coordinator, the Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for a variety of clerical duties in support of daily patient services within clinical areas; answer all clinic calls using UCSD Experience guidelines and follow telephone guidelines. Triage all calls and transfer to appropriate staff. Responsible for customer services, greeting arriving patients for their appointments, oversee all aspects of registration and insurance verification, collect co-payments and make deposits daily. Schedule appointments with accuracy. Confirm patient appointments, providing excellent direction and detail. Serve as a liaison for physicians, nurses and other Radiation Oncology staff. Use multiple computer systems simultaneously. Other duties assigned as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSThree (3) years of previous related experience in a large complex healthcare setting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Superb customer service skills.
Proficient in typing and creating well organized emails.
Experience working with the medical center's various computer programs, including PCIS, EPIC, IDX, RIS.
Experience working in Radiation Oncology, Oncology, or any cancer-related clinic setting.
One year of experience in patient registration.
Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $54,664 - $67,944 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $26.18 - $32.54
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
