We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Therapist/Counselor/Intern to provide therapeutic support and guidance to individuals facing various mental health challenges. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of mental health issues, and a commitment to promoting wellness and recovery.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
- Facilitate crisis intervention and provide support during emergencies.
- Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions and coping strategies.
- Stay current with developments in mental health practices and participate in ongoing professional development.
- Advocate for clients' needs and connect them with community resources and support services.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Valid state licensure (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT) or certification or in processas required.
- Proven experience in mental health counseling or related field.
- Strong understanding of various therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, person-centered therapy).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and culturally sensitive approach to client care.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience working with specific populations (e.g., children, veterans, LGBTQ+).
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- Knowledge of local mental health resources and support systems.
**Working Conditions:**
- May involve some evening or weekend hours.
- Office-based with potential for telehealth sessions or as needed.

Pay: $66,856.00 - $72,394.00 per year
Expected hours: 10 – 50 per week
