Essential Job Duties

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Power Cyberinfrastructure Lab led by Dr. Hantao Cui. The lab focuses on advanced power system simulations, modeling, and analysis to address critical challenges in modern power grids.

Duties and Responsibilities include:


  • Develop and implement simulation models for power system analysis and control.
  • Conduct research on emerging topics such as grid resilience, renewable integration, and distributed energy resources.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor graduate students.
  • Publish findings in high-impact journals and present at conferences.
  • Assist the PI in drafting research proposals

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday

Department Required Skills

  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong background in power system modeling and simulation tools.
  • Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, Julia, or MATLAB).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
