Your Role

The Technology Risk Quantification and Awareness team drives strategic decisions and delivers actionable insights by quantifying IT and business risks to increase resilience and excellence in a dynamic healthcare landscape while driving a security culture that equips Blue Shield of CA to recognize and prevent threats. The Information Security Risk and Governance Specialist, Principal will report to the Senior Manager Information Security. In this role you will play a critical role in identifying, evaluating, and quantifying IT risks, supporting decision-making across the organization, and driving key business insights. The ideal candidate will bring thought leadership and a proactive approach to evolve the existing program and support expansion efforts beyond IT risks, including assessing risks in strategic business decisions.

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Requires at least 10 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience with ThreatConnect or similar FAIR based risk quantification platforms, data analytics, and reporting tools; SQL and data warehouse experience a plus.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex risk concepts to non-technical stakeholders and to influence senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated capability to develop quantitative models, interpret data, and create actionable insights.
  • Ability to think strategically and make high-level contributions toward evolving a risk program to support key business decisions.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., FAIR, CRISC, CISA) is a plus.

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is: $ 145970.00 to $ 218900.00 for California.

Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
