Our state-of-the-art facility is fully equipped to facilitate multisite video conferencing, accommodating dynamic workshops and recording sessions. Moreover, the studio’s versatility extends to serving as a classroom and laboratory space for Santa Fe College.
The Digital Videographer and Designer brings professionalism and creativity to the team, along with a high level of experience and technical understanding of digital marketing and multimedia production. This position is responsible for all aspects related to pre-production, post-production, publishing and storage of college videos and animations. This position is expected to be able to take projects from spec to completion with limited oversight, respond professionally to constructive feedback, and effectively cross manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of quality, attention to detail, and customer service.
Job Description
Responsibilities and Duties Include:
Plans and executes pre-production, production, and post-production of various video projects, successfully taking projects from spec to completion.
Manages and executes a daily production schedule, including lighting, directing, and camera operating of all live productions in-studio and out-of-studio.
Collaborates with the Marketing and Communications team to deliver multimedia components that help meet the college’s marketing objectives of recruitment, retention, and advancement.
Stores files on a common server for easy retrieval by the Marketing and Communications team.
Supports various educational programs, staff, faculty, and students in creating high-quality educational multimedia and interactive materials that enhance teaching and learning, as well as assists with the broadcasting, streaming, audio, and video components of recordings for college events.
Creates professional quality audio, video, graphical multimedia for staff, faculty, and students in a timely manner.
Ensures 508-compliance by applying metadata and captioning to all video files.
Protects the college by monitoring for appropriate use of licensed and/or copyrighted materials.
Manages multiple assigned multimedia projects including digital advertisements with evolving priorities and quick deadlines, utilizing project management software and coordinating with peers.
Contributes ideas and creative assets for social and digital media campaigns and content plans.
Maintains and communicates the college’s vision, policies, and brand guidelines for video productions.
Manages the college’s YouTube account, monitoring trends, analytics, and updates to algorithms.
Produces videos as needed for special presentations.
Stays abreast of emerging trends in multimedia design and enrollment marketing, utilizing these in recommending technology and equipment that enhance teaching and learning.
Remains current with best practices and innovations through involvement with media production organizations and professional development opportunities.
Complies with all published College Rules, procedures, guidelines, and laws/regulations governing public employees, including but not limited to those related to document retention and destruction, FERPA, and confidentiality.
Strictly honors the privacy, security, and confidentiality of student records and other sensitive information according to appropriate state, federal, and college regulations, policies, and procedures.
Provides service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required: A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with two (2) years of digital media experience and/or a combination of completed education and experience equal to six (6) years.
Additional Requirements: A criminal background check will be conducted.
Preferred: Prior experience creating and producing professional advertising videos with three (3) years of video production in marketing, digital media, or a related field.
