Job Summary
Join an active translational research laboratory within the Division of Urologic Oncology focused on liquid biopsy circulating tumor cells. Our group seeks to understand the molecular mechanisms of cancer progression and to develop new predictive/prognostic biomarkers of prostate cancer. The group features resources and opportunities for an individual to learn traditional molecular and cell biology techniques, assay development, data management, and clinical project development within a cross-disciplinary team. The candidate will work primarily with senior laboratory personnel to assist and collaborate with researchers within the laboratory and beyond.
Responsibilities*
Independent intake and processing of study blood samples, tracking of associated clinical variables, data organization, general lab organization including maintenance, management, and ordering/pickup of supplies, sample storage tracking, and participation in laboratory meetings. Help optimize organization of patient samples. Maintain detailed experimental records and protocols. Walk to pickup samples from a limited number of MM sites. Travel to external sites is not required.

Work Schedule
The work schedule is Monday-Friday with 8 hour work days. Flexibility with schedule start and end times may be needed to accommodate arrival of samples during week days. No weekends.

Background Screening
