Research Program Coordinator
Job Description
We are seeking a Research Program Coordinator to join our team in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences within the Division of Geriatric Psych Neuropsychiatry. The Research Program Coordinator will be responsible for recruitment activities, research procedures, regulatory documents, and the organization, entry and accuracy of patient clinical research data for clinical trials and observational studies related to dementia (Frontotemporal lobar degeneration and Alzheimer’s disease).
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate clinical trial and observational study visits. Study visits may include neurological exams, neuropsychological testing, brain imaging, biofluid sample collection, and other assessments.
- Maintain good working knowledge of all assigned protocols, including inclusion and exclusion criteria for study participation, visit timelines, and required data collection points per visit. Adhere to all protocol requirements to ensure the validity of the clinical research data.
- Administer phone screens and assist with recruitment efforts as delegated by Research Program Manager. Verify patient eligibility. Consent study participants.
- Conduct assessments of participants including cognitive and behavioral assessments and administer questionnaires to caregivers/study partners according to protocol specifications.
- Complete administrative and regulatory applications and filings (particularly those pertaining to the IRB) as delegated by Research Program Manager.
- Engage in liaison with sponsors, study monitors and collaborators, as delegated by the Principal Investigator and Research Program Manager.
- Assist with collection, processing (pipetting, aliquoting), storage, and shipment of laboratory specimens as required by the research protocols.
- Enter data into study databases and resolve data queries.
- Meet regularly with Principal Investigator and Research Program Manager to review data accuracy and overall study progress.
- Conduct literature review and perform data analysis for research projects. Assist with preparation of research presentations and reports.
- Attend in-services and external trainings, workshops, clinics, conferences, and other relevant programs for skills development.
- Use the University financial system and Card program to pay participants and order supplies as well as other assigned financial duties.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Clinical research and human subjects research experience.

Starting Salary Range: $17.20 - $30.30 HRLY ($36,700 targeted; Commensurate with experience)

Schedule: 8:30-5pm Monday - Friday
