Job Summary

The Survey Research Center (SRC) at the Institute for Social Research (ISR) is an international leader in interdisciplinary social science research involving the collection and analysis of data, especially data from scientific sample surveys.  SRC conducts some of the most widely cited and influential studies in the world. To maintain this status, we rely on the dedication and talents of our outstanding staff who provide complex support for our research grants and projects. We are expanding the (SRC) Director's Office (SRC DO) with the Services, Training, Administration and Research Team (START). START members will provide support as needed to the research programs and faculty within SRC. You can find more information about the programs and faculty the START is currently supporting here. Research Administrators will work closely with and under the mentorship of highly skilled research administrators throughout SRC. You will report to the Business Administration Manager. Professional development opportunities and advancement in the research administration career path is a focus of these positions. 

What You'll Do

If you join the SRC, you will become an integral part of a high functioning network of professional research administrators with broad responsibilities, expectations, and opportunities in support of the center's overall research enterprise and its research faculty. Based on the best match with your qualifications and interests, responsibilities may include (position dependent):

Work Locations

You'll work is on-site at the University of Michigan, Institute of Social Research, Survey Research Center in Ann Arbor.  We offer flexibility for hybrid work within our overall Center guidelines. Flexible work guidelines for this SRC Director's Office position is 100% in-office for the onboarding period. After completing the onboarding period, the guidelines are 80% onsite, 4 days in the office and 20% remote, 1 day.

Modes of Work

Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.
