Student Intern 2024 - Workforce Education (Grant Funded)
Job Description
We are looking for an Intern as a part of our Workforce Education program who will advance the institution’s proud tradition of excellence in academics, student life and community service. Come be a part of the Mosaic of HCC.
The person in this position will perform a variety of task to partially include, but not limited too:
· Support Various Projects
· Access, Retrieve and manage data sets.
· Use Project Management skills and tools to support projects.
· Respond to request for information.
Your experience with Project Management, Graphic Design, Data Management, and Instructional Design are considered a plus.
Job Summary
Under direct supervision assist the designated department by performing a variety of routine clerical task assignments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Answer telephone, handling multiple lines;
· Handle routine office inquiries;
· Operate office equipment such as computer, copier, fax, typewriter, and calculator;
· Respond to requests for information, in person or over the phone, and provide necessary customer service to internal and external customers;
· Type correspondence and other documents from notes, copies, or rough drafts;
· Scan and process departmental documents such as surveys or office documents;
· Process all incoming and outgoing mail;
· Assist with special projects as assigned; and
· Provide support to other areas as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. The qualifications listed below are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
EDUCATION
High School Student at least 16 years of age.
EXPERIENCE
One (1) year experience in an office environment preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. Understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel computer applications;
2. Possess good written and oral communication skills; and
3. Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with a diverse population.
