Handle non-first responder radios and APX Next feature sets.
Support warranty efforts for tech refresh and upgrade of the current ASTRO 7.17.3 system.
Program ASTRO radios.
Assist with warranty reporting (indirectly, not providing reports directly).
Help with backhaul and ethernet interfaces.
Collaborate with technicians from different departments to work on the Astro System.
Responsibilities include everyday maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and customer training on Motorola Land Mobile Radio Products. This equipment is state of the art Astro 25 trunking.
Verbalize and communicate concepts, recommendations and strategies to the customers and within the Motorola organization.
Deliver a detailed understanding of Motorola systems permitting the individual to assist in the design, troubleshooting and maintenance of Motorola's product lines.
Understand Motorola RSS/CPS software and how to program subscribers and infrastructure equipment.
Deliver working knowledge with Infrastructure Technologies to include Motorola Astro 25 cores, MCC console line and 3rd party networking equipment.
Responsibilities include optimization and support of complex communication systems.
Provide technical support of specialized systems and product applications including troubleshooting of software driven electronics, provisioning of communication system infrastructure and performance optimization of RF and Broadband architecture including, but not limited to, legacy analog, advanced digital P25 and data infrastructure.
Program, configure, optimize, test and document complex communications systems.
Provide weekly reports of activities and accomplishments.
Candidate Requirements
Strong networking skills is a plus
Understanding of IA systems and group policies in a network administrative position.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products and Motorola Radio Service Software products.
Must have excellent communications skills and always present a professional image.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer
Travel/Location/Hours
LMR Technicians will be available M-F for an 8-hour day with the schedule to be determined by the customer's Radio Services Manager.
Technicians will perform work following the Government and Motorola Solutions holiday calendar.
Non-government holidays and PTO will be notified to the customers Radio Services Manager with reasonable notice.
Candidates must be based within 1 hour from a major international airport and Camp Pendleton.
MUST be willing to travel by air up to 25% of the time and be a self motivator.

Basic Requirements- 3+ years experience in one of the following: LMR, RF Systems, Radio Frequency, Radio Communications, Wired/Wireless Communication Systems, Networking Equipment, IT Systems, ASTRO, Military experience
- Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract.
