- Master’s degree or higher in appropriate discipline and two years related experience. A strong candidate with a bachelor’s degree in appropriate discipline and at least three years’ relevant experience may be considered if they are willing to obtain a master’s degree within seven years of hire.
- High degree of subject matter competence in workforce readiness for youth, youth development, community development and educational leadership.
- Demonstrated competency in developing and delivering educational programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with coworkers and clients with a variety of values and interests and of all ages, races, ethnic backgrounds, income and education levels.
- Availability to work some nights and weekends.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently, locally and statewide. Mileage will be reimbursed at the federal rate.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision, manage multiple demands, and set priorities.
- Experience or familiarity with Extension programs.
- Experience in conducting needs assessment and evaluation methods.

- Develop/identify career and academic readiness experiences at multiple access points (across delivery modes, age and grade levels)
- Create and facilitate volunteer and educator training
- Develop and coordinate state, regional and/or national events and opportunities
- Identify opportunities to engage and support vulnerable populations with work life preparedness
- Identify best practices in supporting life skill development during developmental milestones and transitions (i.e., elementary to middle, middle to high school)

- Support and highlight workforce readiness elements in local county events
Duty/Responsibility
- Collaborate with UNH/Extension faculty and industry partners to identify and develop experiences and opportunities that engage 4-H youth with various career and study pathways at UNH, in N.H., and beyond
- Identify/establish partners that can provide high engagement experiences (career technical centers, vocational training centers)
- Partner with community organizations and industry partners to expand internship and practicum opportunities
Duty/Responsibility
- Develop and implement a professional development plan to maintain and enhance competence in appropriate disciplines and professional skills such as leadership, group process and facilitation, use of technology and instructional design.
Duty/Responsibility
- Serve as the UNH Extension county office administrator (COA) when the need is identified and as advised by the program team leader and Extension administration. Work with state partners and other Extension 4-H youth development and education staff to ensure programmatic needs of the 4-H workforce readiness program are fully met during the period of COA service. The COA is responsible for facility and equipment management, office budget management and supervision of administrative assistants, interns and other part-time or temporary employees. COA job responsibilities usually account for 20% of the employee’s time.
- When it is another colleagues’ time to serve as COA, support that person in the performance of their duties and carry out appropriately delegated responsibilities.
