Classification: ANU Officer 6/7 (Administration)
Salary package: $91,362 - $105,165 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Terms: Full-time, Fixed term (up to 6 months)
(flexible arrangements, job share, or part time hours will be considered)
The Position
Finance and Business Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Finance Officer to join our dynamic Finance Team within ANU College of Health and Medicine. This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive, high-level support across a diverse range of financial operations. The Senior Finance Officer will be responsible for managing external and internal funds, providing robust financial advice, and ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures.
The Person
As a key member of the Finance Team, you will work closely with project leaders, preparing financial reports, coordinating budget preparation, and overseeing expenditure monitoring. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to continuous improvement in financial management practices.
We are looking for someone with a degree in a relevant field, experience in financial operations within a complex organization, and advanced proficiency in financial software. Progress towards CPA or CA membership is highly regarded.
The Area
Finance and Business Services supports the University's strategic and operational goals by providing professional corporate financial management, administration, reporting and business services. Its core responsibilities are finance transactions, procurements and contracts, capital and commercial advisory, investment management, financial planning, analysis and reporting, taxation, insurance and research finance advisory.
