Respond to calls for assistance that involve medical and/or injury at special events to include sporting events. Respond to fire/ haz-mat related incidents as requested, mitigate bio-hazards as required, assist advanced life support personnel as needed, complete all paperwork required / requested by the University Fire Marshal.
Please note this position is as needed and primarily utilized for home football games.

As needed (primarily) utilized for home football gamesMinimum Experience/Education
High School diploma or GED , minimum of one(1) year experience in responding to fire and/or medical incidents in a volunteer and/or paid position, N.C. EMT certification required with Wake County EMS affiliation (no exceptions) , Haz-Mat Operation plus certification preferred, and NIMS 300 preferred. N.C. EMT Certification with Wake County EMS affiliation required.
Department Required Skills
Physically able to provide emergency medical care to the sick or injured that requires ifting, moving, physical agility etc;, physically able to climb steep steps multiple times if required, physically able to carry a medical bag with supplies to provide medical care.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
Training in Special Event populations, experience with patient triage in large scale events.
