Job Description
PROGRAM COORDINATOR, CORPORATE PROGRAMS, MIT Professional Education (PE), to collaborate with colleagues, program director(s), staff, faculty, clients, and vendors in the delivery of world-class professional education programs to companies and individuals. Will handle applications and coordinate admission of enrollees; organize, execute, or supervise program delivery logistics; develop and manage expenditure budgets; negotiate vendor contracts for a range of services; conduct and collate participant survey results; generate specialized reports; evaluate, recommend, and implement operational changes/enhancements for future programs; participate on cross-functional project teams; and provide support to other PE programs as needed.
MIT Professional Education (PE), under the School of Engineering, offers a suite of education programs and modalities to serve the continuing educational needs of global professionals.
REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; at least two years of academic administration or business experience in a client service setting or project management role; willingness to learn; attention to detail; team orientation; knowledge of monitoring finances; excellent project management and written and verbal communication skills; and proficiency with video conferencing software and Microsoft Office, including advanced-level Excel and PowerPoint skills. Seek a proactive problem solver who is able to perform duties with minimal supervision and prioritize and track multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. PREFERRED: experience in professional education; cultural awareness and experience collaborating with people from different countries; familiarity with Google Docs, Quip, Slack, Salesforce, and SAP; experience with cross-cultural communication and working in global environments; ability to speak other languages, preferably Spanish, Portuguese, and/or French.
