General Job Description

*The Courier is responsible for receiving deliveries from vendors, warehouse operations, and delivery and courier services to all the clinic and administrative sites of FHCSD.

Job Roles

*Participates in all activities related to Warehouse inventor including Physical counts, cycle counts, or individual product counts. Assigns location for new products within the warehouse. Reassigns locations as required.

*Performs other duties as assigned.

*Performs safety inspection on vehicle, reporting any issues promptly. Check all engine fluids and replace fuel as needed.

*Picks up, records, and delivers packages being transported. Secures packages so they arrive at destination safely. Obtains receipt signature for all deliveries.

*Receives, repackages, and stages items for delivery. Loads packages from staging area into delivery vehicle according to route. Places received inventory items on the shelves based on assigned location, rotates any dated merchandise so shortest dated items are in front and are picked first.

*Safely operates delivery vehicle, driving to each location according to established route and schedule. Follows all state, federal, and departmental driving laws and regulations.

Education/Certifications/Licenses/Registrations

*1 year experience in inventory process preferred.

*1 year experience in receiving and purchasing required.

*Ability to be bonded.

*DRIVER REQUIREMENTS: Age 21; Requires an active California driver's license for the class required for operation of assigned vehicle; proof of liability insurance at $100,000 on vehicle used. No points in past 12 months; No license revocation in 7 years. No suspensions for moving violations, No DUI, reckless or felony driving conviction within 5 years.

*High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

*Or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the skills, knowledge and ability to perform the essential job duties, and which meets any required state or federal certification requirements.

*Requires an active California driver's license for the class required for operation of assigned vehicle; DRIVER REQUIREMENTS: Age 21; Licensed for a minimum of 3 years; No violations and/or accidents within 3 years; No vehicle related suspensions/reinstatements; No DUI, reckless or felony Driving with 7 years.

Experience/Specialized skills (including Language)

*Ability to follow both written and oral instructions in English.

*Ability to operate and manipulate pallet jack and dolly (hand truck).

*Ability to read, write and do simple math.

*Ability to work well in both a team-based environment and independently.

*Basic computer literacy ability to comply with department needs and expectations; ability to use email, smart phones, and computers on a daily basis.

*Basic knowledge of warehouse operations.

*Exceptional driving skills.

*Intermediate interpersonal and customer service skills.

If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to these factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
