Goodwill Central Texas seeks a dedicated Culture and Engagement Manager to enhance our team member lifecycle by integrating DEI, Employee Engagement, and Community Involvement initiatives. Role and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute innovative total team member experience strategies that foster a positive and inclusive work environment, including community involvement, team member milestone, employee engagement and DEI.
- Travel to various locations to implement engagement programs and to gather feedback directly from team members through focus groups.
- Measure and communicate effectiveness of activities through a survey platform, understanding the employee lifecycle.
- Design and develop digital signage, flyers, and visuals to boost awareness around internal activities and events.
- Develop and implement an onboarding listening strategy to understand the experiences and needs of new hires, enhancing their integration into Goodwill Central Texas.
- Collaborate with Engagement on internal communications channels that carry business messages to, from and amongst Goodwill employees.
- Work with teams to develop, implement, and continuously improve onboarding and first year employee lifecycle in collaboration with Learning & Development team.
- Partner with Human Resource Business Partners around exit interviews to gather insights on workplace culture, team member satisfaction, utilizing this data to improve retention strategies.
- Administer and analyze annual engagement surveys to measure team member satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
- Support the Team Member Milestones program, which celebrates the anniversaries of our Team Members.
- Assist in Goodwill Central Texas branding initiatives to position the organization as the Employer of Choice.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify unique division/location needs while balancing the overall purpose and requirements of employee engagement.
- Promote a culture of inclusivity and belonging that embraces the contributions of all Team Members.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has supervisory responsibilities DEIB Specialist(s).
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in diversity & inclusion and/or culture development & employee engagement.
- Excellent people skills, experience working in diverse organizations.
- Excellent writing and editing skills; ability to think and communicate information visually; comfort and presence in public speaking; managerial confidence; diplomacy. Demonstrated ability to work with senior leaders
- -exercising sound judgment, interpersonal and political sensitivity, and business acumen. Ability to manage outside resources to accomplish work.
- Proven ability to conceptualize, develop and implement engagement programming and communication plans and deliverables as well as energize and motivate others.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with track record of delivering on multiple, concurrent commitments with minimal supervision.
- 30% travel to retail locations
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear.
- The ability to cope with and tolerate moderate levels of stress is also a necessity. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to use hands and fingers to operate a telephone and keyboard.
