Job Description

Introduction to the job

ASML US, LP brings together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market and service these advanced machines, which enable our customers - the world's leading chipmakers - to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Wilton, CT, Chandler, AZ, San Jose, CA and San Diego, CA.

The Development and Engineering (D&E) sector is responsible for the development and validation of the ASML machines. Within this sector, the Mechanical Development department (MDEV) specializes in the definition, design, and execution of various modules within the overall lithography system. The Mechanical Architect plays a key role in defining, documenting, and enforcing that functional and system requirements are translated into practical, safe, manufacturable, serviceable and cost-effective designs.

We are looking for an engineer with a multidisciplinary (mechanical, electrical, and software) and/or mechatronics background to act in the role of Multidisciplinary Tooling Architect for part of the EUV light source. In this role you will be responsible for defining requirements (functional, system-level, mechanical, software..), cross functional interfaces, configuration strategy, and validation criteria for various tools used in the manufacturing process of EUV source modules.
