The Division of Arts and Humanities at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications for Adjunct Faculty positions in Music Performance.
Responsibilities may include teaching group performance classes (beginner and intermediate), individual lessons, and/or ensembles. The typical time commitment is between 2.5 and 8 hours of classroom time per week.
Applicant specializations may include, but are not limited to: Woodwinds, Brass Instruments, Orchestral Strings, Piano, Guitar/Bass Guitar, Percussion, Drum Set, Voice, and Instruments of Arab musical traditions (including Oud, Qanun, Nay, Violin, and Voice).

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- UAE citizen or UAE residence visa holder.
- Eligible for an NOC letter from the current employer/sponsor (if applicable) permitting the candidate to teach at NYUAD.
- An accomplished professional performer.
- Experience as a teacher at multiple levels of student development.
- Proficient in spoken and written English.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Music required; Master’s or Doctoral degree preferred
- Demonstrated excellence at teaching a diverse population of students

Please note that written approval in the form of a No Objection Certificate is required from your current UAE employer prior to accepting this offer.
We will begin reviewing applications on a rolling basis until May 15, 2024 and will continue until the position is filled. We anticipate that successful candidates can start the appointment and relocate to Abu Dhabi in Fall 2024, subject to final budget approval.
