Position Summary
We’re looking for a postdoctoral research associate position to work with Prof. Hongtu Zhu and Dr. Tengfei Li at UNC-Chapel Hill on statistical method development for imaging genetics. The goal of this project is to explore and develop enhanced statistical tools for identifying multiomics biomarkers by integrating multiple big datasets for the purpose of prediction on neuroimaging features. We anticipate identification of novel genes via which genetic profile influence neuroimaging features, which are potential endophenotypes of brain-related disorders, including schizophrenia, autism, and Alzheimer’s disease. This project is a collaborative effort with Prof. Hongtu Zhu and Dr. Tengfei Li.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
PhD in Biostatistics or Statistics.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
1-2 years in biostatistics, as well as experience with EHR and large-scale biobank data. Background in high-dimensional data analysis, longitudinal data analysis, functional data analysis and latent class modeling. Experience in analyzing large genomic/imaging datasets with development of computational and statistical methods. Familiar with R, Python/Matlab, etc.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Strong organizational skills.
