The J. Whitney Bunting College of Business and Technology at Georgia College & State University, with programs of study accredited by AACSB and ABET, invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Finance. Candidates with PhD in Finance or a related field and a disciplinary background in Finance are encouraged to apply. The faculty member, in this 10-month tenure-track position, will teach courses in finance and financial economics. The Department of Economics & Finance offers academic programs of study including: a BS in Finance and a Concentration in Financial Economics for the BS in Economics, and a minor in Finance.

In addition to teaching in field by providing foundation courses for majors and non-majors alike, all Georgia College faculty share the responsibility of teaching our core university core curriculum by teaching Georgia College & State University topical freshman (GC1Y) or sophomore seminar (GC2Y) courses. Faculty are also expected to develop and demonstrate knowledge of current philosophies, practices, and theories related to the academic discipline.

Educational Requirements
Qualified candidates for the tenure-track position as Assistant Professor must have a doctorate in finance or a related field and identify as a teacher-scholar committed to the public liberal arts.

Must meet SACSCOC accreditation requirements stated in C.S. 3.7.1 (www.sacscoc.org (faculty credentials)).
