Job Overview:
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for smooth and effective recruitment, onboarding and general HR duties for the Dallas, TX office. This position is a hybrid schedule and will be present in the Dallas office at least three days per week.
Major Responsibilities:
Human Resources Administration
  • Serve as an internal resource for recruitment efforts for all offices.
  • Provide administrative recruitment support to all offices, including completing recruitment forms, tracking time to post and time to fill positions.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to develop job description for new roles. Use internal resources to ensure job descriptions are in alignment with salary levels and titling practices.
  • Lead recruitment for any Level 9 positions in Cornerstone (recruitment system).
  • Screen candidates and/or serve as a neutral interviewer on request, particularly for local hires (level 9); Assist HR manager and HQ recruitment team handling other bands.
  • Collaborate with IRC Headquarters’ Recruiters and hiring managers during the recruitment process by providing any recruitment insight and keeping track of the status of each open position.
  • Coordinate with HR Manager and IRC Headquarters’ recruiter on job offers and with hiring managers on first day scheduling details.
  • Send welcome emails and first day logistics emails to new hires prior to start date, advise Operations Team of upcoming new hires, and handle I-9 and Covid Vaccination Card verifications within the required timeframe.
  • Conduct new hire orientations and onboarding for the Dallas office. Provide all necessary IRC policies and trainings for new hires to review and complete.
  • Create staff badges and keep an updated phone list with staff pictures.
  • Complete employee change forms and connect with IRC Human Resources to ensure changes have been processed.
  • Conduct exit interviews for the offices.
  • Raise employee concerns or issues to the HR & Admin Manager and connect staff with appropriate HR-related training and other support resources. Handle these sensitivities, along with any employee information, confidentially.
  • Coordinate and set up for team events or any office visitors.
  • Assist with providing coverage to Dallas front desk, as needed, in the absence of the Operations Team.
  • Serve on the Dallas Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DEI) Assembly.
  • Follow all IRC polices and practices and model IRC’s code of conduct.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Recruitment, Training, and Management of Interpreters
  • Supervisor 25+ occasional interpreters.
  • Recruit, assess, hire, orient, and train bilingual speakers as interpreters.
  • Conduct ongoing coaching, training and assessment of interpreters focused on ethics, accuracy, impartiality, professionalism, and other topics.
  • Ensure that interpreters adhere to national standards of interpreter ethics.
  • Assign and assist IRC staff with scheduling interpretation appointments, taking into consideration interpreters’ availability, training, experience, past performance, and familiarity with clients’ needs.
  • Reconcile interpreter assignments by ensuring timesheets are completed timely and accurately.
  • Prepare reports as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent directly related experience required.
Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of related professional experience.
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
  • Highly organized self-starter with demonstrated problem-solving and follow-through ability, and proven success in managing multiple and diverse priorities under pressure.
  • Strong analytic problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as an overall ability to be clear and concise in all communications.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; proven ability to prioritize and deliver on time in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a dynamic, cross-functional global team structure.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with partners at all levels.
  • Ability to manage and work through change in a proactive and positive manner.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle to travel throughout the service delivery area with a valid driver's license and current insurance required.
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
Language Skills: Proficiency in English required.
Preferred experience & skills: Prior recruitment or HR experience preferred.
Working Environment:
  • Standard, professional office environment Three days per week and 2 remote days per week, unless business needs change.
  • Office working environment is subject to change based on organization/business need.
  • May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
  • Occasional travel to Abilene office.
  • Offices hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm.

US Benefits: The IRC offers a comprehensive and highly competitive set of benefits. All US employees are eligible for sick time, a 403b retirement savings plans: up to 4.5% immediately vested matching contribution, plus an 3-7% additional IRC contribution, and an Employee Assistance Program which is available to our staff and their families to support in times of crisis and mental health struggles.
In addition, full-time employees are eligible for 10 US paid holidays, 20-25 paid time off days, disability & life insurance, medical, dental, and vision insurance (employee contribution starting at $135, $7, and $5 per month respectively) and FSA for healthcare, childcare, and commuter costs. Part-time employees are eligible for a proportionate amount of paid time off. These additional benefits apply to employees who work at least 6 months within a 12-month time period.
