Job Description
About the Insurance program at Marquette – We see a clear need for a program that effectively prepares students to hit the ground running in the insurance industry. As such, we are developing a program that provides students with substantive, comprehensive exposure to the principles of insurance and risk management products, but with a focus also on developing needed advanced analytics and artificial intelligence skills, sales and marketing expertise, and a broad exposure to the skills needed for this growing industry. We are seeking an Executive in Residence/Instructor of Practice to help move this program forward.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Assisting the Dean in raising funds to help develop a broad-based set of offerings to prepare our students for careers in the insurance field.
2. Focus on lining up high quality internship opportunities across the industry.
3. Working with our faculty to help develop course offerings in those areas where talent is most needed in the industry.
4. Assisting our faculty in bringing in top industry leaders to campus to enhance student interest in the industry.
5. Serve as a visible advocate for students pursuing careers in the industry.
6. Guest-lecturing on an as-needed basis
7. Represent Marquette at various public speaking engagements, as needed and as available.
8. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested as available.

- Work collaboratively with other corporate partners, both here in Wisconsin, Illinois and nationally
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Masters Degree preferred or substantial progress toward the terminal degree.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Minimum of 10 years of experience in an insurance industry, broadly defined. Willingness to come to campus periodically each month during the academic terms in spring and fall (August through May).
