Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The Accountant/Sponsored Programs Coordinator will administer and maintain assigned accounts to verify accuracy of transactions and uniform application of policies, procedures, and acceptable standards; receive, analyze, adjust, and prepare various internal/external financial ledgers; work with IMET faculty and administrative staff members to identify potential ledger discrepancies between financial system and departmental records; the monitoring of subcontract awards; payroll projections; accounts receivable; accounts payable; and other routine administrative office tasks. The successful candidate will have 2+ years of professional experience in sponsored project post-award. This position can work hybrid or remote, but located within the region to attend occasional meetings.

Preferences:
- Two years of experience in program coordination within a research university or federal agency (preferred).
