Adjunct Life Sciences and Agriculture LibrarianSummary of Position
You should have completed at least 15 credits (with a course in the provision of reference services) towards an MLS but you don’t have to have completed all requirements to be considered for this opportunity.
Position is 25-30 hours per week at $26 per hour January through May 17, 2025.

DurhamRequired Qualifications
- ALA-accredited Master’s degree or international equivalent in library or information science; or
- A current graduate student with at least 15 completed credits in an ALA-accredited program; credit hours to include at least one course in the provision of reference services; or
- Bachelor’s degree with extensive experience in providing reference services to a varied clientele.
- Knowledge of reference resources and online databases.
- Ability to effectively engage students in the classroom.
- Understanding of the delivery of library services.
- Ability to work both independently and with others.
- Demonstrated multicultural competence and contribution to a work environment that affirms its commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an academic library.
- Ability to operate with a high level of initiative.
- Interest in all aspects of academic librarianship and demonstrated flexibility in the work environment.
