Job Function
Macomb Community College Adjunct Faculty demonstrate deep subject matter knowledge and provide effective instruction to students using various modalities including, but not limited to, on campus, online, remote, hybrid, and flexible learning. Adjunct Faculty are responsive to their students and support their success through timely communication, feedback, and assessment of student learning
Job Responsibilities
- Classroom instructor responsible for delivery of courses in K-12 education STEM subject matter, inclusive of but not limited to: Science, Technology, Engineering & Math, Robotics, Video Animation, Video Gaming, and areas proven to enhance/strengthen STEM learning such as music and language. Areas in the arts and other activities.
- Maintain course materials in the College’s Learning Management System (LMS), including, but not limited to, announcement, syllabus, and gradebook.
- Keep gradebook up to date and submit final grades by deadlines.
- Participate and actively cooperate with the department and Learning Unit to meet accreditation standards.
- Participate in course assessments that will accurately measure achievement of student learning outcomes as assigned.
- Complete training for various instructional delivery modalities as required.
- Other duties as assigned
Education
3 years’ experience in K-12 or Early Childhood Education with implementation and proven track record in facilitation of training (and materials) to K-12 student base. Must work well with children ages 3-17.
