The University of Notre Dame Enterprises and Events (UEE) division is currently hiring for the position of HostwithinThe Morris Inn. The UEE division leads the University’s event management, hospitality, and customer service functions while supporting student life, academic endeavors, and research initiatives.
Why this position?
This position will serve as coordinator and lead bartender for banquet bar functions for The Morris Inn/NDCC as the center of hospitality for the University of Notre Dame. Represent the university through participation and oversight of bar service at high profile events: Board of Trustees, Advisory Councils, University, Alumni and Community conferences and events including meetings, weddings, anniversary parties, funerals and social events. Oversee the professional setup, service and breakdown of banquet bars. Oversee wine service for banquet events. Professionally handle all guest requests, meeting and exceeding highest levels of customer expectations and service.

Minimum Qualifications
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time during the shift
- 3-4 years experience
- Excellent customer service skills needed in dealing with VIP clientele and with coworkers.
- Self starter with good organizational skills to correctly manage crew on timing of setup/service/cleanup of events.
- Oversight in setting up bars to maximize presentation/guest satisfaction. Able to work in stressful situations and adjust to last minute changes smoothly.
- Basic computer skills necessary with the ability to learn internal computer programs.
